Chapter 1: The Royal Celebration

Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, a king and queen were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. They were so overjoyed that they invited everyone in the kingdom to a grand celebration in honor of the new princess, whom they named Aurora. The entire castle was decorated with golden banners, and the air was filled with music and laughter.

Among the guests were three good fairies who each offered a special gift to the princess. The first fairy blessed Aurora with beauty, the second with grace, and just as the third fairy was about to give her gift, a sudden gust of wind blew through the hall. The doors burst open, and in swept a dark and menacing figure—the wicked fairy, Maleficent.

Angry at not being invited to the celebration, Maleficent cursed the princess. “Before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday,” she hissed, “Aurora shall prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall into a deep sleep, from which she will never awaken!”

The court was in shock, but before anyone could react, the third fairy stepped forward. “I cannot undo the curse, but I can soften it,” she said. “The princess will indeed fall into a deep sleep, but she will awaken with true love’s kiss.”
